RAD READING — October

During the month of October, I read Refugee written by Alan Gratz. Refugee is about three kids who all have one mission in common: to escape. Three kids; Josef Landau, Isabel Fernandez, and Mahmoud Bishara all start long journeys in search of refuge after their homes were torn apart by violence and destruction. Along these journeys, the three kids all encounter devastating events and close calls with death. Even though they are separated by different continents and different decades, unexpected connections will link their stories together. I would recommend reading Refugee, because you won’t get bored of the book. Every … Continue reading RAD READING — October

Swapping Places with the Baltimore Bullet

If I could swap places with a famous person, it would be Michael Phelps, also known as the Baltimore Bullet. Michael Phelps is famous because of his phenomenal performance as an Olympic swimmer for team USA. He is very successful having won twenty eight medals, twenty three of them being gold medals. Not only is he the most successful and decorated Olympic swimmer, but he is the most successful and decorated Olympic athlete of all time! One reason I would want to trade places with Michael Phelps is because he was able to swim for a big chunk of his … Continue reading Swapping Places with the Baltimore Bullet

An Outdoor Adventure

It would be a dream to experience a perfect day, and if I could, here is how it would go. To start, I would wake up in Oregon with my dad and some of our friends who live there. I would choose to spend my day in Oregon, because I love how pristine it is in most areas there. The beautiful nature surrounding you is a great source for adventurous activities! Some of the activities I could do are zip lining, river rafting, and taking a hike. As part of my day, I would do all three activities. Ideally, I … Continue reading An Outdoor Adventure

Thirty Forever

A great age to be forever would be thirty years old. There are multiple reasons why I would like to be thirty, one of which being that I would have more freedom than I currently do. For example, someone young enough to still live with their parents won’t get to create their own rules, and someone older may not be able to enjoy their adult freedom as much, since they might have a lot of responsibilities. However, thirty year olds are still young adults who might have not yet gotten many responsibilities like a family or high position in their … Continue reading Thirty Forever

Drip

He hadn’t believed in ghosts until that moment… drip, drop… drip, drop. Adam was sitting on his bed, reading a book, when all of the sudden he heard what he thought was a slow dripping sound. Adam gingerly set his book on the night stand beside his bed. He stepped out of his bed and walked across the room, clad in his plaid pajamas, and made a stop to peer into the bathroom. Adam squinted, trying to figure out if he had left the sink on by mistake. It appeared to him that no water was dripping from the faucet, … Continue reading Drip
